Status Report for Week 12


  1. Tasks accomplished
    1. Finalized the tasks that will be performed by the user for testing.
    2. Started working on the user survey used for collecting data regarding the test.
    3. User Survey will contain both qualitative and quantitative data.
    4. Quantitative data is prioritized, data analysis will be done using statistical analysis software.
  2. Tasks In Progress
    1. User Survey will be finalized.
    2. A software for statistical analysis will be confirmed. (Currently SAS is the primary option).
    3. Date of user testing is being decided upon.
  3. Tasks Planned For the Next Two Weeks
    1. Develop the final version of the Multiply Madness application.
    2. Conduct the user testing and collected data.
  4. Issues
    1. None so far.
  5. Metrics
    1. Our group has contributed to the deliverables fairly evenly.
    2. Testing metrics will be decided contribution to the user testing plan and survey. Data analysis will be the sole duty of one of the members. Furthermore, two members (minimum) will be required to attend the actual testing.

Status Report for Week 10

The following objectives were met in the previous weeks:

1. Successfully completed the beta version of the application to be used for user testing.

2. A usability test plan was made for preliminary preparation.

3. Heuristic evaluations for the Multipy Madness application was completed.

Tasks to be completed:

1. Finalizing the test plan for the application.

2. Execution of the actual test plan.

3. Using feedback from the beta test, finalize the final build of the application.

    1. We've completed and submitted our 1st full deliverable
    2. We've completed our 2nd deliverable.
    3. All downloaded the Android SDK and associated Eclipse version

    1. Minor changes to our 2nd deliverable and submit

    2. Development metrics will be measured by commits to the repository and line-of-code changes, as well as interfaces assigned to specific team members.

Status Report Week #3 - Mid-Week Check-in

Hit the ground crawling.

    1. On Monday we selected and downloaded an Android SDK for development. No actual progress done, but it's a step in the right direction.

    1. Come up with project requirements, and gather requirements from our selected testers.
    2. Set up code repository for our project

Status Report for Week #2

Status Report for Week #2 - The plot thinnens

Short project Synopsis
- Our project is an Android application game used for the purpose of teaching K-6 grades their multiplication tables. The app will start out on a basic difficulty setting and gradually increase awarding points, and hopefully showing leader-boards. The game and competition aspect will hopefully be adequate motivation for teaching students their multiplication tables, and basic multiplication, while also being fun.

    1. Two testers were found for the team so far. One found by Md Towhidul Chowdhury and the other by Randall Goodman. We should have the final two found before week's end.

    1. Find 2 more testers.
    2. Set up development environments.
  3. Tasks Planned For the Next Two Weeks
    1. Come up with software requirements
    2. Come up with interview strategy for our testers. Inform them of the app idea and gather any necessary input they have.

Status report for week 1.
Here goes nothing.

    1. This week we submitted our 3 project ideas.
    2. We chose the Multiplication Tables Game application as our official project.
    3. We also created this blog and made the first post to it. (So Meta!)

    1. Only current task underway is to download the SDK for android app, set up development environments, and start up a version-control repository for the code.
